Tunnel Waterproofing

Tunnel Waterproofing Projects

Tunnels are a lot like basements except the roof is usually below grade or sometimes they are capped off with a sidewalk.  They can also suffer from wet foundations and can be very difficult and expensive to fix.  Call the pros at Great Lakes Waterproofing to evaluate your water issues and see if your a fit for exterior waterproofing using all-natural bentonite.

Waterproofing Wet Tunnel

Wet Tunnel Exterior Waterproofing for Residential

This White Bear Lake Homeowner has a small tunnel between the main house and the garage, it was leaking through the tunnel foundation.

Great Lakes Waterproofing came to the rescue and waterproofed the exterior using all-natural bentonite for waterproofing.

Exterior waterproofing meant only limited work needed to be inside, in this case some clean up of the bentonite puddle and a concrete cork where the bentonite worked through the wall.

Tunnels are alway cool but they seem to have different types of water issues, the best way to fix these wet foundations is to stop the water on the outside with Real Waterproofing!

waterproofing wet tunnel

Wet Tunnel with Sidewalk Exterior Waterproofing

This wet tunnel had slightly different construction, the exposed roof has a concrete sidewalk.

The water on the sidewalk is from cleaning once the process is done, yes we clean up nicely, most of the work is done below-grade and in one day.

Exterior waterproofing was chosen for this wet tunnel, the homeowner looked into other waterproofing companies but felt we had the best solution, and experience, to fix their wet tunnel.

Call us to discuss any wet tunnels, bentonite is a great product to stop water from the outside.

waterproofing factory tunnel foundation

Factory Tunnel Exterior Foundation Waterproofing

We love old factories, this historic building is still being used!  This footprint of this building is several blocks with a combination of poured, brick and some blocks.

Several areas are additions over a long time blending the best foundation materials at that time.

This area was a tunnel going from underground parking to a utility building and it was getting wet inside.  Doing an inside drain tile system was cost-prohibitive and definitely not the ideal solution.

The contractor picked Great Lakes Waterproofing for exterior foundation waterproofing sealing the tunnel up from the outside.
